Fall is here! My favorite time of year. The air is crisp and we are surrounded by oranges and browns. If you need some tips on what to wear, I hope this info below helps!
Location is key
Where will your photoshoot be held at? This will determine the vibe of your outfits! For my sessions personally, I typically always hold fall sessions outdoors in a field, surrounded by large trees, or on a bridge underneath large beautiful ash trees.

Start with moms outfit and build around this!
Think of it as building with legos - start with moms outfit then coordinate around hers since womens clothing tends to be the most colorful/bold. My go to recommendation for fall photos is a flowey maxi dress with a chiffon, tulle or similar fabric. Its whimsical and looks great when holding it or when it is breezy! They are also very flattering for most body types. If maxi dresses aren't your thing, you can always wear jeans and a nice top, or even a longer skirt and matching top. Just be sure to find balance between fitted and flowey options (ex: if the bottom half is a flowey skirt, wear a fitted top).
I highly suggest avoiding bright colors (neon, etc) and busy patterns!

Coordinate with moms outfit
Once moms outfit is picked out I suggest coordinating no more than 2-3 colors to go with it. I suggest not all wearing the same color as your can blend together in the photos.
What colors to pick
Steer clear of bold, highly saturated colors since they can pull focus in photos. Instead, opt for softer, muted tones of the same shade. For example, swap a bright hot pink shirt for a subtle dusty rose. Use a base of natural or neutral colors and coordinate outfits around a chosen color palette, selecting clothing with textures like chunky knits and patterns to add depth. Layering and comfortable footwear are also key for both style and practicality. I'd suggest some ankle or knee high boots for mom and coordinating similar colored shoes for the rest of the family!

Color Palette Ideas
Earthy Tones: Rich browns, forest greens, golden yellows, and warm rusts that blend with nature and give the ultimate autumn vibe.
Jewel Tones: Wear base neutrals with a pop of color such as deep emerald, sapphire, or burgundy.
Neutrals: Stick to a calm, neutral palette of creams, grays, and beige for a timeless look. Avoid bright white and instead stick with ivories and creams.
